Today’s Ancient Rare is Swiftmane, the level 21 zhevra who was captured in The Barrens in 2009. Furd the Tauren (a character I have almost no recollection of) is scant moments from death by goring. Go, Swiftmane!

Ancient Rares are World of Warcraft named mobs who used to be identified by a silver dragon around their portrait. They nearly always drop a tasty item upon death and respawn on long, varied timers.
