Greetings travelin’ friends, and welcome back to another edition of the WoW Diary.
It been a busy week in that thing we call “Real Life” but I managed to get a number of quality hours in with the Warcrafts. Let’s get into it. (If you’d like to catch last week’s Warcraft Traveler – you can find it here.)
World of Warcraft Retail: Dragonflight
The Midsummer Fire Festival has been live but I haven’t engaged with it very much. When the only new reward is customization for a single mount and a transmog or two, my cockles aren’t particularly warmed with excitement. I must have lit those dang bonfires thousands of times over the past 15 years.
I logged in my main, Tipton – the Gnome Rogue, with the general aim of earning some gold. Two years back, I was working the Auction House daily with Trade Skill Master installed and usually earned enough gold to pay for my monthly habit, er, subscription. I took a long break from the game after leveling a ton of characters through Dragonflight and I haven’t felt the drive to master the markets after returning. It’s a LOT of work each day and by avoiding it, my in-game income has suffered. In addition to that, the price of the WoW Token has gone up greatly. It used to hover around 150k gold. Nowadays, it’s more like 350k.
So, I ran some dailies offering gold rewards (climbing for kittens!) and got side-tracked into lingering quests that have been awaiting completion. I’m glad I did, as I earned the Grotto Netherwing Drake mount after “punching Odyn in the face” in the Halls of Valor. I also got a dagger upgrade after killing the World Boss Basrikron.

Mists of Pandaria: Remix
In MoP Remix, Chopper – the Goblin Hunter hit level 70 in Stoneplow while delivering beer and sweeping up Ik’thik warriors. My time to the cap was 15 hours and 20 minutes. 70k Bronze was earned from levels 10 to 70. As per usual, I blew my Bronze on mounts. This time around it was Son of Galleon, Slate Primordial Direhorn, and Marble Quilen.
After leveling five Timerunners through the Remix I may be done with making new characters. Though I have been playing my initial Timerunner, Tincan – the Mechagnome Hunter. Tincan got busy (so to speak) with some faction questing and earned exalted status with the Order of the Cloud Serpent, Klaxxi, and the Golden Lotus. I also grabbed some achievements, “Powerful Enemies: Timeless Isle” and “Tour Timeless Isle” and received the rather awesome Astral Emperor’s Serpentling pet for my troubles.
Lots-a-Cheevos on the Isle
WoW: The War Within Beta Test (Minor Spoilers)
I did a bit of fun questing on the Isle of Dorn to bring my copied-over Warrior, Rootbeard, to level 73.
I ran the Kriegval’s Rest Delve on Tier 3 and there was a fairly tough boss fight with a giant Kobold at the end. I made it through with the assistance of Brann Bronzebeard who threw many health potion bottles at my feet. My item reward was a Secret-Dredger’s Armplates at 473 ilevel. Worth noting, is the number of gray items dropping that were nice transmogs – such as the Distressed Visor. It’s great to see new grays that aren’t completely worthless.

Lastly, I flew to the awe-inspiring Hallowfall zone and took buckets of screenshots which will appear here on Warcrafty very soon.
Until next time, travelers. Be good!
