So, have you had the chance to play the Radiant Echoes event yet? I got a healthy amount of time in, had a bit of fun, but mostly came away somewhat disappointed. There are so many players engaging with the scenarios that everything is over in a flash – and you’d better bust your behind to get to the final Remembered boss quickly before you miss out on the rewards!
And after the boss goes down it feels like ages before the next Event goes live. I’ve been setting a 90-minute timer before heading off to do other things. The rate that residual memories currency is doled out also feels lacking. I’m sure I’ll grab the new mounts and all the gear I need before the event ends, but right out of the gate, the fun factor is a bit lacking.
On the plus side, Warband Banks are live and awesome. Also, Wowhead reports that Boss health is being increased and that Flightstones and Crests will now drop during the event (helping you to level up that new gear). And let’s not forget that the events will be up every 30 minutes as the days progress towards The War Within launch. I’m hoping they shorten that event window to 30 minutes sooner than originally planned after player outcry.

“Looking back on all the bronze controversies around gulp frogs with MoP: Remix, I can’t help but wonder if Blizzard is intentionally starting things slowly to reduce the impact of exploits—on the other hand, it’s a pre-patch event, who cares? When The War Within releases in less than a month, all this gear’s gonna get replaced by questing tat, anyway.“
