During Microsoft’s Xbox Showcase this morning Blizzard debuted a new “Echoes of Azeroth” trailer featuring a release date for World of Warcraft‘s The War Within expansion.
August 26, 2024 is the chosen date. Epic Edition owners will grab a 3-day headstart, so presumably, August 23rd. This is a few weeks earlier than the September speculation that had been circulating.
I must admit when I saw the words “Blizzard” and Warcraft imagery appearing onscreen I couldn’t help but get excited for an announcement of WoW finally coming to consoles. But, alas, this was not to be.
